2017 Acura ILX

Just because a car is small doesn’t mean it can’t be mighty. Case in point: the new ILX from Acura, the most compact among the luxury automaker’s lineup, but one that carries all of the power and features of a sedan at a lower cost.

Your Friendly Acura dealer is waiting to take you on a test drive, but if you need more convincing, check out our full review of the 2017 Acura ILX:

An Acura is easy to spot on the road after dusk thanks to its signature Jewel Eye LED headlights that illuminate brightly but never blindingly. This year, the ILX features an additional bar of LED daytime running lights, as well as a restyled grille, taillights, and front and rear bumpers.

Inside, high-quality materials that are mostly soft-touch make for a comfortable cabin, both in the front and rear. The center stack is neatly organized with the latest in technology, so it’s easy to use and will let you keep your attention on the road.

The ILX comes with myriad standard features, including dual-zone climate control, passive entry, push-button start, 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, and noise-mitigating wheels with active noise cancellation. For your entertainment, it also has a 6-speaker audio system, 5-inch display, and hands-free texting. Upgrades include satellite radio, HD radio, 10-speaker premium audio system, GPS-linked climate control, remote start, voice command, and Siri Eyes Free.

One low-cost upgrade that could be a big convenience for you is the tethered navigation app, which links to your iPhone to the center stack display so you’ll never have to fumble with your phone when looking for directions.

‡ The 2017 ILX 4 DR FWD earned a best possible 5-Star Overall Rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Standard models come equipped with active and passive safety features such as anti-lock brakes, seatbelts, electronic stability and traction control, sturdy body design, and airbags. Additionally, each model of ILX has a rearview camera that provides multiple views and automatic headlights. Optional safety features include adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking, lane keep assist, and blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, which are all part of the AcuraWatch suite of driver assistance systems.

You’ll love what’s under the hood of the ILX: a 2.4-liter inline-4 with 201 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque – more than enough power to propel the compact car from zero to 60 in seven seconds. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with shifting paddles.

For a car that performs, it gets great gas mileage at *25 MPG city and 35 MPG highway, thanks to an advanced fuel injection system that optimizes performance.
