Review: 2019 Acura RDX

The 2019 Acura RDX will be hitting showrooms with a new look, and it isn’t just on the exterior. Two of our favorite changes for the 2019 RDX are seeing how Acura remodeled what was under the hood and we love that they made all-wheel drive available on every RDX model.

Performance
The 2019 Acura RDX comes with a 2.0-liter turbo-4 that produces 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. This engine is matched to a new 10-speed automatic that can toggle down four speeds at a time if needed. Paddle shifters are standard on all models, which make the driving experience exciting.

The EPA estimates the fuel economy of 2019 Acura RDX at 22 MPG city, 28 MPG highway, and 24 MPG combined for the standard model.*

Features & Technology
For 2019, the Acura RDX comes standard with a 10.2-inch center screen, Apple CarPlay compatibility, automatic climate control, 12-way heated front sport seats, keyless ignition, in-car high-speed data, LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels, panoramic sunroof, and a power height-adjustable tailgate. The nine-speaker infotainment system is equipped with USB ports, satellite and HD radio, and Bluetooth audio streaming.

Other available features include parking sensors, leather upholstery, navigation, a 12 or 16-speaker audio system, blacked-out exterior trim, 20-inch wheels, and ventilated front seats.

The top trim for the 2019 Acura RDX is the Advance trim. This trim includes 16-way power-adjustable seats, hands-free tailgate, driver-adjustable shocks, acoustic side glass, a surround-view camera, and a head-up display.

Safety
For driver safety, the Acura RDX comes standard with forward collision warnings with automatic emergency braking, active lane control, and adaptive cruise control. Every RDX model has four-way adjustable headrests. Blind-spot monitors also come standard on all models, minus the base model. The Advance edition EDX is equipped with a surround-view camera system.
